Yes! We use organic, regenerative, natural gardening methods. We do not use any synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fungicides. And, we only use organic seeds, plants, soil, compost and other garden products for growing and planting.
Whenever possible, we support small local businesses, and work with a variety of local growers and smaller or co-op nurseries to offer organic, healthy, vibrant plants. On occasion, we offer clients plants grown directly at Lil Valley Farm.
Harvests depend on what is planted in the garden, when it is planted, and how it is maintained. A general rule is that for every square foot of garden space you will enjoy one or two harvests per month. For instance, a 7’ x 2’ bed (14 sq ft) may produce 14 servings a month.
Little Valley Farm is more than a farm and garden retreat, it is my home. So, while I LOVE hosting guests and visitors, the farm is only open by appointment and according to our calendar of pre-scheduled events. If you would like to enjoy a private visit or garden consultation at the farm, please use the Contact Us feature on our site and I will do my very best to schedule your visit as requested!
All our fruits, vegetables and flowers are grown without synthetic fertilizers, toxic pesticides or chemicals. We are not a certified organic grower but take great care to grow everything at the farm organically, using organic soils and seeds, and keeping the land healthy with only natural nutrients and eco-friendly pest control (such as onion and essential oil sprays, diatomaceous earth, natural soaps, etc.) that are safe for our friends, family, visitors, and of course, the beneficial insects and wildlife in our community.
Lil Valley Farm does not sell or supply liquor, beer or wine. However, for those celebrations where wine service or a full bar is requested, a licensed mixologist or professional bar service provider will be engaged to curate selections and serve guests.
We are committed to caring for our planet and we do not use or purchase single use plastics. We do not use toxic or synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We focus on and use organic, natural materials and products.
